1) Stainless steel lining systems- are designed to go into the existing flue system and take its place (relining), when the flue system is compromised or if a new hearth appliance is being installed, such as a woodstove insert.
2) Class-A chimney systems- are usually used when installing a free standing woodstove in a location where there is no chimney, (it is the chimney).
3) B-vent chimney systems- are used only for gas appliances, gas furnace, gas hot water heater, and gas fireplaces.
4) Direct vent chimney systems- are for direct vent gas fireplaces. Basically a balanced flue system. As exhaust fumes are going out to vent it draws fresh air for combustion at the same time.

Exhuasto fan
An Exhuasto fan is used when a fireplace has a severe smoking problem. It sucks the smoke up the chimney like a vacuum. We recommend using the exhusto fan only when all other attempts have failed, because it is an expensive fix and it is not very efficient.

Smoke guard

A smoke guard is usually an effective way to fix a smoky fireplace. When a fireplace smokes it’s usually because the flue is too small for the fireplace opening. Installing a smoke guard will reduce the opening of the fireplace and will, in most cases; correct the smoke issues with the fireplace.

Dyer vent cover
A dryer vent cover is essential to keeping birds from nesting in the dryer vent. A bird nest can cause major issues with the dryer and vent, such as fire hazards and water damage, since they block off the vent. For information on dryer vent cleaning please go to our cleaning page.

Refractory panels are the decorative brick panels inside the prefabricated fireplace. There will be one on the floor, back, and each side lining the firebox. Overtime due to the use of the fireplace they will crack and need to be replaced. Replacement of the panels should be done according to the technician’s recommendation.
1) This is the actual refractory panel which comes as a sheet and is cut to fit into the fireplace by using the damaged panel as a template, in most cases.
2) This picture of a damaged floor panel shows the cracks running through it.
3) This picture shows the fireplace after we have removed the all the panels (floor, back, and sides).
4) This is the after picture, as you can see we have also replaced the back wall panel which had cracks running through it as well. The side panels were metal and were in good condition so we just reinstalled them.
